We try to cover our operating expenses, feature rollouts, and nothing more.
That being said, with what little profits we DO generate, through ads, commercials, and sponsorships, we try to give to causes that are relevant to our community.
Up until now we have aligned with a charity that provides toys, fun, and comfort to kids in children's hospitals all across the globe.
Unfortunately, there is some ethical problems with the company that runs said charity, so we are forced to change our Charity of Choice.

About Trans LifeLine:
"This line is primarily for transgender people experiencing a crisis. This includes people who may be struggling with their gender identity and are not sure that they are transgender. While our goal is to prevent self harm, we welcome the call of any transgender person in need. We will do our very best to connect them with services that can help them meet that need. If you are not sure whether you should call or not, then please call us.
Our hotline is staffed by the true experts on transgender experience, transgender people themselves. Our volunteers are all trans identified and educated in the range of difficulties transgender people experience. Our volunteers are dedicated to improving the lives of transgender people.
Additionally, our operators will only call emergency services with your expressed consent."
How Digital Mayhem Radio's Donations Work:
We tally up the station's "Total Listening Hours" (TLH) per-month, and take this number, along with the dollar amount of our revenue for the month, and then donate a % of that, based on the TLH for the given month.
Essentially, this means that the more you listen to DMR, the larger our monthly donation is. Why? Because our revenue is based on Listener Hours. We can't sell advertising if nobody is tuned in. The more people tune in, and for more hours, the more we are able to donate each month.
This allows our donations to be able to be anywhere from $5 to $200. It all depends on the TLH for a given month. The system scales up or down depending on TLH.
Where Do I See This Month's Donation Status?
At the top of the Digital Mayhem Radio Website, you can see our Charity Donate-o-Tron, that may look something like this:
As the month progresses, the bar fills up based on TLH, and at the end of each month, we process our Donation. Once we do this, we post to our DMR Facebook Page to confirm this has been done.
In conclusion, we invite you to Tune In to DMR on your PC, Smartphone, Tablet, or other Device, and support our Community-driven Station, so we can keep doing what we do, all while helping to promote and raise visibility for resources, programs, and knowledge that benefits our Community.
